Ancelotti: "We won't settle for a draw at Camp Nou"

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says his side will be going all out for three points in Sunday night's huge Clasico clash against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

Madrid trail the Catalans by a point going into the fixture and a defeat would leave Luis Enrique's side as big favourites to win the title this season with some breathing space in a four-point gap.

Under-pressure Ancelotti is not planning to play for a point, however, and will hope to secure all three that would be enough to take his side back to La Liga's summit.

"I'm not settling fotr a draw," he said at Saturday's pre-match press conference. "I've not settled for a draw before and I won't tomorrow. We have eough quality to win the match and I'm not settling for a draw."

The Italian said he has "not gone crazy" in his preparation for the game. Madrid had all week to train in preparation for the clash after last weekend's victory against Levante while Barcelona had to contend with a midweek Champions League match against Manchester City.

"I've not gone mad in our preparation but we have worked hard and we are ready for this match, we wil;l try and do what we need to do in order to win," he said. "It's a special match because we're facing a very good team at an important junction in the season, but we are calm and confident that we can play well."

Ancelotti admitted Barcelona are the favourites going into the game but has full faith in his own men to produce their best result so far this season. "If you're the underdogs or favourites all depends on the form, that's why Barcelona are the favourites. We have confidence going into the game, however, and we go to try and get the win that would send us back to the top of the table."

The Italian admitted that his side's form had not been the best going into the game but that he has total faith in his stars to produce a performance this weekend. "My faith and confidence in this club and these players is not in doubt," he said. Ancelotti also said that he does not fear for his own future owing to the outcome of the match, saying "it is more important for the fans of Madrid and Barcelona".

The spotlight will be on Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and Ancelotti says there are no problems with Ronaldo, who he says has trained well this week. "Cristiano is fine, he's had a perfect week and I think he's at his best right now," said Ancelotti.
