Carlo Ancelotti says he is well aware of the threat Celta Vigo will pose his Real Madrid side tomorrow night.
Madrid make the trip to Balaidos needing maximum points to stay in the Liga title race and Eduardo Berizzo’s side are one of the biggest remaining hurdles for Los Blancos to clear between now and the end of the season.
The Galicians have already seen off Atletico Madrid on home soil and held Valencia to a draw while giving Barcelona a big fright. Madrid complete the visit of La Liga’s top-four to Vigo and Celta will look to give Ancelotti’s side plenty of problems.
“Tomorrow will be a very important game,” said the Italian. “Celta are playing well and they will make it difficult for us for sure. It will be an intense match and they also made things tough for Atletico and Barcelona. We have to be ready physically and try to dominate the match with our gameplan. They play with a lot of energy at home, Nolito, Santi Mina are the rest are very dangerous players.”
Ancelotti confirmed that Sergio Ramos will return to the Madrid back four in Vigo after playing in central midfield in the 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in midweek.
“Sergio will play as a defender tomorrow, although I promised him that one day I will let him play in attack.,” he joked. I still have decisions to make about the starting line-up tomorrow but it will not be affected by what Barcelona do against Espanyol, we still need a win no matter what happens there.”
Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale will still be absent through injury but Marcelo is expected to come straight back into the starting eleven after missing out in midweek through suspension.
