Morata goal sparks rumours of Real Madrid return

Alvaro Morata's goal for Juventus in Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg victory over Real Madrid has sparked rumours of a return to the Spanish capital for the striker. Morata scored the opening goal in Juve's 2-1 victory over Madrid in Turin and came less than a year after he left the Bernabeu in search of more regular match action. Unsurprisingly, that strike has led to some Spanish media claiming Madrid could look to bring the Spain international back to the club. The European champions included a buy-back clause in the striker's deal and Spanish sports newspaper AS say Madrid could look to activate it. The clause would allow Madrid to buy Morata for €30 million this summer or €35 million next season. Any new contract would also be more than the reported €2.2 million a year that he earns with the Serie A champions. Morata was sold to the 'Old Lady' for €22 million last summer and he has enjoyed a good first season in Italt, scoring 12 goals this season and forming a good partnership alongside Carlos Tevez in the Juve attack.
