Jurgen Klopp and Rafa Benitez are the two coaches in-line to replace Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid coach this summer, according to reports.

Ancelotti’s Madrid future is hanging by a thread after failing in both La Liga and the Champions League this season and José Luis Sánchez, of La Sexta, says president Florentino Perez has lined up the two candidates to replace the Italian.

Klopp will leave Dortmund in the summer while Benitez has yet to pen a new deal to continue at Napoli and is expected to hold showdown talks over his future in Italy soon.

Madrid have taken note of both situations, however, and have highlighted the pair as the best men to take Madrid forward if Ancelotti does not continue next season.

Klopp has earned the reputation of being one of the best coaches in Europe with Dortmund, while Benitez is a decorated coach who started out coaching with Madrid and their second team, Castilla.

  1. I don’t think sacking Ancelotti is a good decision. It’s only that we forget too much if we fail to get a silver ware. To me Ancelotti is a good coach and he delivered nicely in just 18 months by winning the biggest trophy, Copa Del Ray, UEFA Super Cup & the FIFA Club World Cup. He was only unlucky this season but that doesn’t nullify his credibility. What exactly can we point out on him that deserve him to go. Its better you they give him a benefit of doubt for the next season and see if this can be repeated.
The team was greatly affected by the injuries especially between January & Feb and this costed a lot in relation to the League title. He (Ancelotti) and the boys at the pitch gave everything against Juve & Valencia but were just unlucky.

  2. Ya, that makes sense. Klopp has Dortmund in contention for relegation and Benitez has done crap all in his time in Naples. Can’t believe the garbage circulating about Might Mou turning down RM to replace Carlo. Why the heck would we want to bring back Mou? What a disaster he was. He got three seasons for his futility and poisonous attitude. Carlo knocks it out of the park his first year and we can’t wait to crucify him when things don’t go perfectly. Will never understand why Perez loves Mourinho so much. Ancelotti is the man! Too bad Madrid only gives time to the bad apples…

    • Wish they were reading these comments we are giving to get an idea from the outside fans. Mourinho failed the club. He only succeeded in terms of his bad behavior. Ancelotti is the man for the Job. Winning the premier league doesn’t satisfy that he can overtake Ancelotti. He failed against the 10 men PSG to a larger extend that he likes defending too much. With Ancelotti Madrid plays exciting football. Lets get our hands crossed and stay with Ancelotti.
      Hala Madrid!!!

  3. Every Madridista is entitled to his opinion, but I am in 100% disagreement about the coach. Real Madrid has a long and glorious history, and its history is littered with ex-coaches, and its history is full of shiny trophies. In all the years that Ferguson was the coach at a team in England, we had a ton of coaches, and for all that, we won as many titles. We need Ancelotti like we needed Mourinho, or Wanderlei Luxemburgo. There are too many cult figures at Real Madrid as it is, and there is no reason to elevate another one.

  4. I dont ever agree on this un realistic decision since we can see the great work he did to the team in the last 18 months, but I would do the followings to help him to perform better :
bring him a good goal keeper like De khia or one of the best in the market.
add Pogba to the mid field group to improve and make the function of the attackers easier and more goals to be acheived.
already having Danielo from Porto was good deal.
reterning back Morata to the team as a replacment or assisting the role of Benzima.
Then you can assis the work of Ancilloti and his ability to acheive trophies.
