Real blast Manchester City 4-1

After a nice summer rest things are starting to move again in the football world. (I for one have actually enjoyed the rest since the remainder of the year things are non-stop in the Real Madrid universe.)

After a disappointing draw and eventual loss in penalties against Roma, Real put in an impressive performance against Manchester City this morning.

Benzema, Cristiano, Pepe and our home grown Cheryshev all scored in today’s second pre-season match. The team was solid in defense and dangerous in attack. Had a penalty not been mistakenly called on Ramos (who handled the ball outside the box), it would have included a clean sheet.

Things are just getting started but let’s hope this is a glimpse of what’s to come.

I was always interested In seeing Real play when I would come here to Spain to visit my family but football (soccer) was not yet my passion, being half-American and living in the states. Years later, after moving to Europe, I watched Florentino build the 'galacticos' squad and I was hooked. It was then when I first wanted to build a Real Madrid Website but it took a 0-5 thrashing at the hands of Barcelona to make me serious about the project years later - and here it is!
