Real Madrid may have their eyes set on Neymar and Sergio Aguero but will most probably end up signing Adebayor on a permanent basis from Manchester City, the player was on a season long loan last season and put in some decent performances on the basis of which he may be signed on a permanent basis.
Adebayor who failed to show up for training at City is desperate to move out of the club, he is not interested in signing for PSG and Zenit st Petersburg both clubs have shown a lot of interest in securing his services.
"Neymar is a Santos player, Aguero belongs to Atletico Madrid... Adebayor is at Manchester City, but perhaps he is closer because he was our player for six months," Mourinho said at a press conference.
"We should not be very distant from those names, but I am calm because we have a fantastic squad and we are in a very good situation."
"I like the freedom of the United States for my players. In Europe, they cannot go out for a walk," Mourinho concluded.
Real Madrid will play against LA Galaxy on July 16 in which former Real Madrid player David Beckham will also be involved.
