» Real Madrid Vs Racing

Real Madrid took on Racing knowing that a win would take them 13 points clear off Barcelona. The home side started the match brightly; quite a few changes were made to the starting line-up by Jose Mourinho.
Varane was given a rare start in defense by the gaffer, Kaka was also handed a start by Mourinho. Benzema started the game instead of Higuain, Granero was expected to start the game on the bench but the player was named in the starting eleven. Di Maria was expected to start but he was benched.
Ronaldo almost opened the scoring in the 5th minute but his header came back off the right post, the player was assisted by Kaka. Ronaldo scored just a minute later from a close range header, Kaka was again the provider. It was a really easy goal, Ronaldo was the right man at the right place at the right time. There was a suspicion of offside but the linesman decided in favor of Ronaldo and did not raise his flag.
Domingo Cisma of Racing was sent off in the 39th minute, it was his second booking of the night.
Real Madrid went 2-0 up in the 45th minute when Benzema scored a fine goal from close range. It looked all over for the away side as they went into the tunnel at the half-time break.
The home team dominated the second-half but could not score in the opening minutes of the second-half.
Ozil was replaced by Di Maria in the 63rd minute, the home fans were happy to see Di Maria back in action after a really long time.
Di Maria made an instant impact by scoring a screamer in the 74th minute, it was a fierce shot struck from way outside the box which easily went past the keeper.
Ricardo Carvalho was introduced in the 76th minute, Pepe made way for the player. It was an all Portuguese change by the home team.
It became 4-0 in the 89th minute when Benzema scored a fine goal, his shot was deflected and the keeper could not do anything about it.
The home team won the game 4-0, it was a comfortable win, and with this win Real Madrid have a lead of 13 points over Barcelona.
