La Liga action finally returns after a break of a fortnight, Real Madrid will lock horns with Valencia in an away game.

Ronaldo comes into this game high on confidence, his free-kick against Bosnia was nothing but spectacular. Much will be expected from him against Valencia.

Real Madrid trounced Valencia 6-3 at the Mestalla last season but Real Madrid will have to work very hard this time around to win by the same margin.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Arbeloa were both injured on international duties but they are expected to shake off their respective injuries and be absolutely fit for this game.

Ricardo Carvalho and Fabio Coentrao have both recovered from their injuries but may not start this game. Fabio Coentrao started the game against Bosnia for Portugal and turned in a very decent performance.

Marcelo and Kaka are also fit and may start this game, Nuri Sahin is fit and is expected to start this game. He has hardly featured for Real Madrid since his move from Dortmund.

Sergio Canalesm is injured for Valencia and will play no part in this game, the player is on-loan from Real Madrid. Hedwiges Maduro and Banega will also miss this game for Valencia because they are suffering from lengthy injuries which could keep them on the sidelines for well over a couple of months or may be more.

Jonas who scored a couple of goals for Brazil on international duty is not expected to start the game for Valencia, Pablo Piatti and Roberto Soldado will start ahead of the Brazilian. Soldado is expected to play as the lone striker up-front.

Madrid have 28 points from 11 games and currently sit at the top of the table, Barcelona are just three points shy of Real Madrid. Anything less than a win would not be acceptable.
