A knee injury kept him out for a really long time but he is back and performing really well for Real Madrid. Kaka was instrumental in the demolition of Ajax, it was a fine display from the entire team.
Kaka is expected to start the game against Espanyol tomorrow, the player has said that he never gave up hope and worked hard on his fitness. The results are for everyone to see.
Not even once did he think about leaving the Bernabeu. His resurgence has helped lifted the whole team and much is expected of him this season.
"I am indebted to Real Madrid and the club. It would be very easy to have gone, but that is why I raised my game. I have a dream of winning with Madrid which I want to realise,'' Kaka said.
The player also acknowledged the support that he got from Jose Mourinho and his teammates.
"After the game (Perez) gave me a hug and congratulated me. He always supported me in bad times. Many have said they wanted to sell, but he said he would not and kept his word. I owe a lot to the president.''
"Three parties decided. I do not want to leave, Mourinho did not want me to go and the club did not want to sell,'' Kaka said.
Yeah, it's great that Kaká is back in the game. Not only have we been looking forward to his recovery and resurgence for a while, it also happens at a time when we can definitely use his qualities. I also find he's a nice metaphor for the whole team and a role model. He suffered a huge setback but didn't give up, worked twice as hard, and regained his qualities and confidence. What an inspiration!
Hope he plays a key role in dismantling Espanyol tonight.
