This past couple of weeks, Real Madrid player Pepe has been caught in a storm of bad press and unflattering media attention due to his controversial behavior on the pitch during Madrid's last Copa del Rey matches. We discussed that at length in our last Q&A, but we also realize that we are all prone to making mistakes. And when that happens, we are lucky enough to not get caught on camera and have the whole wide world disect every single one of our moves, call us names, and make general conclusions out of isolated incidents. All this turmoil cannot feel good to Pepe. And on top of it, it is highly detrimental to our team's cohesion and performances. Pepe is a member of our Madridista family, who serves the team to the best of his great abilities. And it's not in our interest to stigmatize one of ours.
What if we could balance out all the bashing that the press is cashing in on and our opponents are using to try and weaken us by all possible ways? What if we could fill the web with positive messages about/for Pepe? Let's show him and the rest of the world that we care about him even when he makes mistakes, that we trust he'll rise above all that unwanted hype, that we don't fuel the negatives, that we remember him for his talents and nice behavior, not his occasional hiccups, etc. So here's the challenge! We have up to Madrid's next game to gather all our messages and spread the word, so that by next Saturday, the web will have been flooded with love and support towards Pepe. #WeSupportPepe What stays with me most is your behavior at an event hosted by Realmadrid Foundation for a school opening in Mozambique. That day, you were there but it wasn't about you and you didn't want to steal anybody's spotlight. Yet, the press was all over you, they were mostly interested in having you on every single picture. And with a great smile on your face, you tried to indulge them as best as you could and as discreetly as possible. I wish they had kept that day in mind when some of them were busy trashing you last week. One can choose to focus on the good or on the bad. I choose the good. :-)

Aquel día, estabas presente pero lo importante no eras tú, y por eso te hacías muy discreto, para no robarle protagonismo a lo que de verdad importaba. Sin embargo, muchos medios de comunicación te "acosaban" (entre comillas) porque les interesaba que estuvieses en cada foto. Así que con tu gran sonrisa, te esforzaste para hacerlos contentos de la manera la menos invasiva posible. Ojalá se hubiesen acordado del esfuerzo que hiciste aquel día cuando decidieron ponerte a parir la semana pasada. Uno siempre puede darle más importancia a lo bueno o a lo malo. I support Pepe! People that do not should just keep their nasty comments to themselves. My mom always say that "If you have nothing good to say, don't say anything."
We all make mistakes, I remember deliberately fouling an opponent recently and it was a nasty one as well. We just need to learn and move on.
Pepe is a part of the Real Madrid family. if we support Real Madrid, we support the whole team. everyone is prone to make mistakes, and our rivalry against Barcelona causes anger between the two. Pepe was angry and made a mistake by stepping on Messi's hand... but he didn't do it on like purpose (maybe he did) but what i mean is that other events before Pepe's stepping on Messi's hand led to it. Barcelona made harsh tackles on Real Madird but didn't get booked for the harsh ones and Real Madrid made fouls, too, but when we even touch a Barcelona player we get a red card while on the other hand when Barca causes one of our players to bleed from a bad tackle they simply get a warning. -____- so what i'm trying to say is that Pepe made a mistake and hopefully he won't make it again and hopefully Messi, the Barcelona Team, and fans can accept his apology for his mistake. :) iHALA MADRID! <3

Pepe es una parte de la familia real Madrid. si apoyamos el Real Madrid, apoyamos a todo el equipo. Todo el mundo es propenso a cometer errores, y nuestra rivalidad ante el Barcelona provoca la ira entre los dos. Pepe estaba enojado y cometió un error al pisar la mano de Messi ... pero no lo hice a propósito, como (tal vez lo hizo), pero lo que quiero decir es que otros eventos antes de salir de Pepe en la mano de Messi llevó a ella. Barcelona hizo duras tacleadas en Madird real, pero no se llenan por las duras y el Real Madrid hizo faltas, también, pero cuando ni siquiera tocar a un jugador del Barcelona tenemos una tarjeta roja, mientras que por otro lado, cuando el Barça hace que uno de nuestros jugadores a sangrar por una entrada mala, simplemente una advertencia. -____-Así que lo que estoy tratando de decir es que Pepe cometió un error y espero que no lo hará de nuevo y espero que Messi, el equipo de Barcelona, ??y los aficionados pueden aceptar sus disculpas por su error. :) iHALA MADRID <3

I dont consider you as the violent person in football, Pepe...Many of the players in football has done worser things...The casquero incident was the only bad thing, but mistakes happens to everyone...The passion you show whenever our team scores, the support you give to the youngsters in our squad, the way you celebrate with debutants, I see you as one of our future captains !! Every rationale Madridista at their bottom of their heart know that you did not do it on purpose and you have become a far better person since the casquero incident . And there have been so many legens over the past who's legacies have not been tainted by incidents like this (not that it could be justfied) but that does not deny your legacy and your place in our hearts . Your heroics in the copa del rey final and in the last 2-2 finals will not be forgotten and you shall always be remembered as the man who make the catalans pee in their pants (esp messi) . And trhe only reason barca won champions league lats year was after getting u sent off in controversial circumstances . You are a madridista and you will be a madridista and you shall still have your respect amongst rationale madridistas .

Pepe you've always played the game with a certain passion and fervour, and I'm sure you'll continue to do so. This season we're all going to be together, no matter what happens! I don't like Pepe, I love Pepe!! I think he's ambitious, dynamic, brave, confident, he only needs our support because he fully loves this club. And no matter what happens he will always be one of my favourite players. Pepe loves Real Madrid with a passion, and nobody, nowhere will ever make him change his mind and heart. I choose not to believe the idiotic rumors about him leaving us in the summer. I will not believe it! I love you Pepe, you are one of the few who really knows what Real Madrid means. we all make mistakes, and we all learn from our mistakes. Pepe knows this and i bet he has learned from his mistake as he apologized. nobody should be hating on him for what he did, he is such a good player, his abilities make him special and even more important than he already is.

There is no bigger Real Madrid fan out there than me. My family already knows how I'm going to be buried: wearing Real jersey. Pepe is my favorite player because I play defense and I can relate to him. The man is the best in his position. About Pepe vs Messi, I say this: Pepe is not known as a dirty player. That title goes to Daniel Alves, David Villa and Javier Mascherano. Top Barca players like Messi, Xavi and Iniesta do not fake, fall or roll to get a call as Daniel Alves, David Villa and Javier Mascherano do. I single out Daniel Alves as the worst offender.
