I agree incorporating Iniesta into our team would be extremely difficult, given the nature of our current lineup and tactics.Messi may never want to come to Madrid, but the question here is - Won't you be happy if that does happen? ;)These are just hypothetical situations per se, and if I had to choose from one of either of them, I'd still go with Messi ;)
We did it! What a game. Each and every player gave their 200 percent. Ozil was pure class! Benzema was as cool as a cucumber and Ronaldo - he's a friggin' machine!

Pepe you've always played the game with a certain passion and fervour, and I'm sure you'll continue to do so. This season we're all going to be together, no matter what happens! We won't be separated in interest nor will we be divided in purpose. And most important of all - We will stand together until the end. Hala Madrid!

@Real Paddy - Yes I agree he brings a lot more than just defending to our game and it's quite certain that he'll start..but I'm just praying he doesn't screw up defensively this time ;)
@Gaelle - If it were upto you, he'd be playing everywhere on the pitch :P
@El Chaval - Oh subbing him later on when we need that spark would be a really good backup plan
@SiempreReal- You bet man, this position is the one that worries me the most

Sorry mate, error corrected! I think we're often playing with three defenders when Marcelo's playing, so it won't be a big problem there! ;)
I feel a 4-4-2 formation with Ronaldo, Alonso, Kaka, Khedira in the mid and Benzema and Higuain up ahead would be worth watching. It sounds a little odd on paper, but Benzema always drifts wide into the wings and if Ronaldo plays at the other end, you get a good amount of width as well. Or a more ambitious 3-5-2 bringing either Ozil or Di Maria into the fray would be interesting as well! Marcelo could be an alternative in midfield as well. Oh boy, I guess I've got the crux of my next article ;)
Yes, I agree with Gaelle and Nada. I was a bit skeptical as well initially but now I am just amazed by the perfection that guy has.
Also, I agree with the above comment that dribbling past defenders is no longer part of his game. and I hope that comes back soon!
Albiol and Varane were brilliant, but all the goodness just disappears in front of the little Brazilian's frailties, atleast for me! He extremely poor at the back.. though last season was a welcome change, this season he's again back to his old self.
Haha, yea exactly! The early goal helped us! The subs were good as well, though Lass must be one angry man for having been subbed at the 30 min mark!
A few things i noticed from the game were:
-we made rayo vallecano look like a champions league team
-we need one early goal to get into our mood.. doesnt necessarily need to be from us..
-Marcelo is terrible at left back..
-lass needs zonal marking lessons..
-defense sucks!
-kaka is lethal if he's given space..
-forget the double pivot , ozil kaka and xabi give us so much creativity!
-we're entertaining, not convincing
-10 shots on target, 6 goals scored. We need to maintain this efficiency.
Zero creativity. Absolutely disappointing game.

Oh, you watched Castilla's match. That's nice! I'm sure you'll agree with me that if given the chance, players from our youth team can show its quality. Sorry for the late reply. Somehow it wasn't showing up on my account. Btw, that article is a very good read! I'm not too fluent with reading Spanish, but i translated it, and it made so much sense!
It's difficult to have honesty and humility as far as financial matters are concerned, but just simple values are all i'm talking about.
And lastly, as far as the cantera is concerned, I've no hopes yet, unless Raul comes back to coach us. :D
