COPE: Juventus have asked UEFA for 'cooling breaks' at the Bernabeu

Juventus have asked UEFA to implement 'cooling breaks' for tonight's match at the Santiago Bernabeu owing to the heat in Madrid today, according the COPE. The Spanish capital is sweltering in the sun and forecasts suggest temperatures could be as high as 35 degrees when the Champions League semi-final second leg clash kicks-off at 20:45 CET. COPE have reported that UEFA have accepted the request but for it to be implemented the temperature must be at least 32 degrees 90 minutes before the match kicks-off. Forecasts suggest the temperature will exceed that and if the breaks are carried out they will be in the 30th minute and 75th minute. The report also suggests Juventus have also asked for the Bernabeu pitch to be watered just once before kick-off.
