Madrid prepared to pay up and welcome Casemiro back

Madrid are prepared to pay €7.5 million to bring Casemiro back from his loan spell with Porto. The Portuguese giants exercised their option to buy the Brazilian after his successful one-year loan stint but Madrid also included a clause to bring the Brazil international back to the Spanish capital. Porto would have had to pay €15 million to get their man, according to Marca, while Madrid's offer needs to be half of that. Casemiro has enjoyed an encouraging campaign in Portugal and that, coupled with the imminent arrival of Rafa Benitez as boss, has put him back in Madrid's plans. An announcement over the midfielder's future is expected in the coming days with Madrid wanting to include him on their pre-season tour.
