Sergio Ramos appeared before the press this afternoon and was questioned about the extra day of rest for Barcelona going into the Clásico.

“In the end, we’re the team who is hurt by the scheduling.  We should be playing the previous match the same day as Barcelona and have the same number of days of rest. Nevertheless, we will give our all to win.”

The date for the first Clásico of the season has been set for December 18th at 20:00 CET. Madrid will have had 29 hours less rest than their rivals ahead of this match. They visit Valencia the Sunday beforehand at 21:00 CET, while Barcelona visit Real Sociedad on the Saturday at 16:00 CET.
