Eden Hazard has admitted his first season at Real Madrid has been a bad one.

The Belgian has scored just once in 15 appearances for Los Blancos since being unveiled as the club’s star signing of the summer.

His debut campaign has also been ravaged by injury and the former Chelsea man told RTBF that his first season in the Spanish capital has been far from ideal.

“My first season at Madrid has been bad but not all of it,” Hazard said in the interview with RTBF. “It’s been a season of adaptation. I’ll be judged on the second one.”

The forward is now looking towards next season as the one to leave his mark on Zinedine Zidane’s team. “It’’s up to me to be in good shape next year. The group is good; it’s been a great experience for me. I still have four years on my contract.”

The Belgian could even feature again for Madrid this season depending on when LaLiga decides to finish the campaign but his main focus is on being ready for the 2020/21 campaign.
